No new technology can replace the feel of an old book. Judith brings both together.
Judith says: “I recently got a Kindle and, to my book-lover’s surprise, love it. Yet, I wanted to have a cover for it to avoid any scratches and also to give it more of a ”booky” feel and look. Since all available covers looked like they were designed for men in their 50s or people going on a dive, I decided to make my own.
What you need is an old book (I bought mine for 1.50 € at the flee market) and some posterstrips. Make sure you don’t actually want to read the book, as you will have to cut all the pages out. Then fix one strip on each corner of the backside of your ebook and push it against the inner back cover of the book. Voilà!”

Klasse Idee !
I love this! But what are posterstrips? It’s an English word but I’ve never heard of them – and will they damage the e-reader?
I’m not quite sure what posterstrips are in English, but they are what you use to hang up a poster if you don’t want to use normal tape for fear of ruining the wall. It is a white substance resembling chewing gum that’s sticky but can also easily be removed again. Therefore they shouldn’t damage the e-reader.
in France they have ‘pâte-a-fix’ – but the Posterstrips are flat and have a non-sticky end so you can easily remove them
You can do this for nooks too and instead of poster strips use sticky tack
