Day 373: Guest Post – Magic Ball

When you knot a couple of threads together while knitting you’ll see these messy knots everywhere. Regula invented something that lets you knit without knots and without sewing up threads in the end. Here you see the full tutorial.

Regula says: “Because one always has to sew up threads when knitting in stripe patterns I developed this idea. The leftovers are connected and then wound up into a big ball of wool. This is a fun present for knitting beginners because the change of colour keeps it interesting. You can use all sorts of wool but it’s best to use wool of the same thickness. My “magic ball” is big enough for a pair of socks and you just need to sew up the beginning and end thread. ”
