Day 481: Guest Post – Wine Bird Hatching Box

Sabine built a bird breeding burrow from an old case of wine.

Sabine says: “I removed the interior of the case, drilled a hole for the entrance and another one for the landing pole. Different sizes of holes attract different kinds of birds. Inform yourself about the needed hole size and the place the bird prefers. My little house is made for chickadees so it hangs towards sun rise with an entrance hole of 3,5cm in diameter. After every incubation it should be emptied.”
