Day 99: Guest Post – Tetra CD Covers

Benigna works as an autonomous designer in Tokyo and she sent us these handy CD casings.  Here is the tutorial.

Benigna says: “Since I sometimes have to send customers data via CD, I looked for an alternative to plastic CD cases and found TetraPaks (milk/ juice). The size of a TetraPak is like made for a CD and the waterproof material is so firm that you can perfectly package a CD or even send it covenient and safe.

You only have to cut the TetraPak in shape and glue or sew it together. Ready is the upcycled CD case.”

I love this idea! While I rarely have to ship CDs, I can use an upcycled TetraPak to store them. In about five minutes, you can have a free and eco-friendly envelope. Thanks so much for sharing!!

      Hi Jessica,
Happy to hear that you like the BCOME CD TetraPak case idea.
It goes really easy and since I figured out this way of storing and shipping CD no plastic case enters again my studio.
Have fun with upcycling and cheers from Tokyo!
      Benigna
